The coalition for the Advancement of organic farming with funding from Christian Aid has trained some market women in Bolgatanga on how to disseminate market information to farmers and consumers to help improve market access and to provide the farmers the relevant market information needed for production. The two day training was held for fifteen traders to serve as a pilot group to enable CAOF track the effectiveness of the enhanced relationship between the traders, farmers and consumers. This pilot is to help identify the weaknesses and strengths within this day to day chain and to help find solution for scaling up. The traders were linked to some lead farmers and the training is expected to enhance the relationship between them and their customers and the farmer groups of these lead farmers. Lead traders from the fruits and vegetables traders association were those involve in the training.
